Shipping Policy

General Shipping

We ship most products via USPS Priority Mail or Ground Advantage depending on the item. Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Some items — including live plants, cuttings, and hatching eggs — require special handling. Please review the notes below before ordering.

Plant Shipping & State Restrictions

Twin Ponds Farm ships nursery plants and cuttings across the United States. Because we take biosecurity seriously, we work in full compliance with guidelines set by Virginia’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS).

Customers in the following states may receive plants shipped with soil: CT, DE, DC, GA, IL, IN, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, VT, WV, WI

Customers in all other states will receive plants with minimal potting material that has been treated to eliminate Japanese Beetles and Fire Ants using approved methods including Neem Oil, Bonide Japanese Beetle Killer, Orange Oil, and EcoVenger.

VDACS Inspected & Pest-Free

Twin Ponds Farm has been inspected by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and found to be free from the following regulated pests:

• Spotted Lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula)
• Japanese Beetle (Popillia japonica)
• Spongy Moth (Lymantria dispar)
• European Corn Borer (Ostrinia nubilalis)
• Imported Fire Ant (Solenopsis invicta and hybrids)

We’re proud to meet these standards — and to ship with confidence knowing our plants leave here clean.

A Note on Organic Practices

We follow organically raised guidelines whenever possible, but Twin Ponds Farm is not a certified organic operation at this time. We are working toward certification and will update this page when that changes.
